Winter weather

The Auchnacraig group made the journey up to the woods today and the wind died down making conditions much more pleasant than the stormy weather this morning!
We went to see how much rain had fallen and two of the group swore they saw a frog being swept down the burn in the fast flowing torrents!
The waterfall at the woods was spectacular today and got various new names including “Scary Falls” and “Thunder Falls”.
The hand crafted Christmas willow wreaths went home today.

Today was a shorter session than normal due to a change in my timetable this week. We looked at a couple of knots and the had a quick den building session. Good to see a class work so well together.  I am really looking forward to my Forest school block with them.

Very busy day in the woods!

The purple group were out in the woods this morning on a bear hunt, following the clues and completing the challenges left by the hiding ted. They found him and escorted him inside safely too. In the afternoon, it was the turn ofP6 and P7 pupils to head to the woods. No bears for them. Just saws and rope courses to try!
