P2 final Forest School session

Primary 2 are the most enthusiastic and creative group I’ve worked with for a long time. They make all sorts of imaginary scenarios up when out in the woods and they’ve had a terrific ‘can-do’ attitude throughout this term. They have been a joy to work with. 
Today we had a birthday boy with us and he was serenaded under the tarpaulin during snack time by his peers. 
I hope that I will get the opportunity to work outside with this class again this year. Miss Black is very lucky to have you as her class.

The purple group were out in the woods this morning on a bear hunt, following the clues and completing the challenges left by the hiding ted. They found him and escorted him inside safely too. In the afternoon, it was the turn ofP6 and P7 pupils to head to the woods. No bears for them. Just saws and rope courses to try!

Primary 3 enjoyed some mild weather for their first Forest School session, they took part in a little warm up game of charades and then tried their hand at a figure of 8 knot before using knots in context and building a den. Washing their muddy boots in a puddle
