The John Muir trip had a trip to Balmaha on 21st January and once there they walked "in the footsteps of John Muir"-hence the hats, beards and explorers bags in the photos. They examined lichens and mosses, looked at the habitat of the red squirrel, learned about the celtic rainforest and created their own national parks.
A huge thank you to Ali Cush at LLTNP for looking after us so well and making the trip so much fun.
The journey home was very peaceful as the fresh air had worked its magic and all six children snoozed on the train!
