P2/3 and P4 Forest School

Today was all about rain shelters and hot chocolate! The weather is on the turn and after only really having had two wet forest school days since August the weather was less favourable today. We took to the polytunnel for some shelter for our hot chocolate and then back to check the protection the different den designs offered against the rain.















The school will be reeking of damp tarpaulins for the next couple of days I guess...

Today was a shorter session than normal due to a change in my timetable this week. We looked at a couple of knots and the had a quick den building session. Good to see a class work so well together.  I am really looking forward to my Forest school block with them.

Very busy day in the woods!

The purple group were out in the woods this morning on a bear hunt, following the clues and completing the challenges left by the hiding ted. They found him and escorted him inside safely too. In the afternoon, it was the turn ofP6 and P7 pupils to head to the woods. No bears for them. Just saws and rope courses to try!
