Campfire popcorn

P4/5 enjoyed dry but crisp conditions in the autumnal woodland today. We tried the fire pit out and had freshly made campfire popcorn as all the fresh air does work up an appetite! 
A small group of children volunteered to build the fire this week and they had a go at using the flint and steel.

The purple group were out in the woods this morning on a bear hunt, following the clues and completing the challenges left by the hiding ted. They found him and escorted him inside safely too. In the afternoon, it was the turn ofP6 and P7 pupils to head to the woods. No bears for them. Just saws and rope courses to try!

Primary 3 enjoyed some mild weather for their first Forest School session, they took part in a little warm up game of charades and then tried their hand at a figure of 8 knot before using knots in context and building a den. Washing their muddy boots in a puddle
